Sunrise and Sunset View in Nature (Part: 02)

Hi my fellow local guides,

Hope you guys are in good health. In the first part of my writing, I wrote about Dhotrey to Tumling trekking. In this part I’m going to share about Tumling to Kala Pokhri trekking.

In Tumling because of high altitude I couldn’t sleep. So, the night was not too good for me. But the early morning started with an enjoyable moment. I left the bed, wear my down jacket, shoes and go out for enjoying the sunrise.

I think I enjoyed the moment when gradually sun rising and the sunlight touched the Kanchanjangha! The Kanchanjangha also started changing the colour. Kanchanjangha takes different forms before sunrise, during sunrise and after sunrise. This moment cannot be expressed in words.

After sunrise, I back to my room and get fresh. The breakfast was served. After finishing the breakfast, we said goodbye to our homestay owner and started our second day trekking.

The second day we need to pay the fee for Singalila National Park and also entry our name and details. After all formalities, we started trekking again. I don’t know what new thing is waiting for me.

In the morning we had full energy. So, we trekked Tumling to Gairibus without any break and took a tea break. We also need to entry our name in Gairibus Checkpost. In this trekking we need to entry our name several times in different checkpoints.

After the tea break and name entry we started our trekking. Our next destination was Kayakata. We will have lunch at Kayakata. While starting trekking from Gyaribus, I saw that this trekking route is completely uphill. My heart rate increased again and again. I was taking a rest for some distance, and when the heart beat was normal, I was trekking again. Doing this, we reach Kayakata. They welcome us with tea. We freshen up after tea and finish lunch.

After finishing lunch, I regained my lost energy. And left for the next destination Kala Pokhri. On the way to Kala Pokhri, the surroundings mesmerized me. On the way, we found Kala Pokhri Lake. We spend some time there and take pictures. After that, we started trekking again towards the destination.

Finally, in the evening we reached our second day destination after 16KM trekking. By the time we reach Kala Pokhri, everyone’s energy is almost at an end. And the sun is also preparing to set. And we forget about our tiredness and sit down to watch the sunset. Our guide made coffee for us. We enjoy the sunset that day while drinking coffee. After sunset, we all entered our room at Cheten Homestay and freshened up. In the common room, we sat in front of the fire place and chatted for a while before going to the room.

At night suddenly my stomach started to hurt. As a result, I did not have dinner. Later, take medicine and eat fried egg. This concludes our second day.

Don’t forget to comment how the second part of trekking was. In the next part I will share about Kala Pokhri to Ahal trekking. You can read the first part here. And the most important thing, while enjoying the beauty of the places, don’t forget about the environment. Keep your trash in your bag. In this trekking we collected many trash from the trekking road. Thanks for reading.

That was some long trekking i must say and considering that the topography of your Route might be between clinging hills and descending valleys. What was the event for?

Nice photos you took too @Saiyen

Thanks for your appreciation @KamalHossenR

It took around 4 hours to trek 16KM! It’s actually moving time, but we took some breaks. If I count the breaks we trek from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

This was really wonderful; please keep sharing such journeys here. Great post. @Saiyen
