Sunday Morning in Thiruvanmiyur Beach, Chennai

Recently I have gone for a corporate trip to Chennai from Bengaluru. And let you know guys Chennai and Bengaluru are two faces of climatic condition, Chennai is always hot and Bengaluru always chills. So the first thing I did after reaching up there in the morning has visited the beach as it is the major missing in Bangalore. As it was Sunday, so the crowd was obvious over there. I just sat down on the sand and just enjoying the view, the waves sound and the windy air. Mostly people came there for the morning walk and the exercise, some people came with their kids to let them enjoy the waves.

I went to see the sunrise but it was a bit cloudy over the sea so it was not visible but the rays pierce the clouds and reached the beach as filtered and cold rays.

You can find varieties of people came here to enjoy their Sunday morning. But I find this as most interesting fun as this labrador was enjoying the waves along with his master. It seems like very trained for the waves and water. Instead of running from the water he was going deep in the water to take the toy thrown by the dog’s owner.

Another interesting thing I saw was the life of fishermen. This place is not only a beach for them, but it’s also the only place for income for some people. They start from the morning itself to catch the fish. The boat inside the sea which you can see in the picture goes to spread the net inside the sea with a huge rope with ends at the beach. Then after some time, the team at the beach use to pull the rope slowly with lots of patience. This work is not only enough for them sometimes after this much of hard work as well they barely catch a handful of fishes. It’s a hard game of the time and luck.

This was the shot which I discovered on the beach. Rarely I get a chance to shot this kind of amazing views. The colors actually created by the scattering of sunrays from the milky clouds during the morning. I was lucky to shot this as it lasts for just 15 minutes. And don’t be confused guys it’s morning, many of them have seen these colors at the time of sunset. So many will get confused.

Finally, I saw what I went to the beach, sunrise. It was a very pleasant experience to see this sunrise view in the morning.

Warning: It’s funny but after sunrise, u can’t bear the heat of Chennai. The best time to go to the beach is between 5 to 7, after that the temperature goes up and unbearable if you are not habituated to that kind of heat.

Hi @Ravi_kant ,

This is a beautiful photo, did you take a panorama? Was this your first visit to Chennai? How long did you stay there for? The beach looks really peaceful and relaxing. What else did you do in Chennai?

Hi @DanniS

First of all, thank you for the compliment

  • yeah, it is a pano shot.
  • yes, this is the first time I visited Chennai.
  • I stayed around 36 hours in Chennai as it was an official meeting trip, so not much time to roam around.
  • There are several such beaches to enjoy and you can find good places around Mahabalipuram, Chennai. I visited a resort in Mahabalipuram that was Welcomhotel Kenes palm resort, nearby you can visit ancient Mahabalipuram temple and caves.

Happy Travelling, Cheers !!!

Business travels are so much fun, because you get to visit new places even if it’s for a short period of time. Are you planning to have some more travels soon? Any new places to visit?

Hi @PoliMC ,

Thanks for the valuable response for my shots.

  • All the shots are taken by a smartphone camera, I used two models vivo v11 pro and one plus 6t.

  • yup Photography is my all time hobby and my time pass whenever I use to get time from this corporate.

  • No, you guessed it wrong it was the picture just after the sunrise and this color effect created just because of the clouds coming in between.

  • Surely I will include my travel and photography experience in the community.

Thanks!!!

Hi @Ravi_kant ,

Thanks a lot for your nice reply!

Photography is my hobby as well and I am very happy and impressed when I see such beautiful photos. I thought that’s it after sunset because of the clouds. Here in my country sometimes when is very windy the clouds are red as well.

I will wait for your next great post!
