Sunbird

The Palestine sunbird or Nectarinia Osea is a small passerine bird of the sunbird family that lives in parts of the Middle East and Sub-Saharan Africa. The male is a flying gem of iridescent colors. The female is all gray with a black tail.

I can see them in my city pretty often. Usually, this bird can be found on flowering trees and bushes.

Hi @giribpai ,

It’s interesting that you can find this bird in India, too.

Thank you for your comment!

In fact the one common sun bird we have is coloured similar to the one whose picture you have shared. It is slightly smaller though.

Shalom @Andrey_K

Beautiful photo! We don’t normally get to see birds with such a bright color like the male Palestine sunbird’s blue here in Buenos Aires. The birds we see are just brown, maybe beige. Rarely, we get see some parrots and hawks.

Did you take the photo in a particular park, or was it just on the street?

Thank you for sharing the nice photo with us, and for telling us all about it.
