Hello everyone, I just wanted to share with you all and receive feedback on how you all do summer where you are from. My summer on my beautiful island consists of wonderful soca music from across the Caribbean and non- stop parties as summer is also crop -over or (Carnival) time in Barbados 
and I would highly recommend that if you are looking for warm non stop good time this is definitely a place that should be on your bucket list, the costumes are breathtaking and no matter where you are on the island it always make for the perfect background to any photo, you can always turn anywhere into your own personal photo shoot . Even if your not big on partying their is so much more this lovely island has to offer like : sandy beaches with nothing but the most beautiful water you’ve ever seen, the people embrace you like one of our own , the food will have you over the moon and that is just to name a few, now I want to hear back from you. Wow, you’re blessed to live in such a stunning location. Barbados has been on my Places I’d Love To Visit list for years.
In Johannesburg our summers are usually hot and rainy. Johannesburg is a city in the inland of SA, so not surrounded by sea or mountains.
It’s great in summer in general because the sun sets later and there is a general all-good feeling in the air.
Bars and restaurants are open earlier and longer and there’s a lot more people out and about because it isn’t cold.
Now (May to late August) is considered winter and it’s chilly. Sure, there is still a lot to do but most prefer to stay indoors.
The coast of Durban is fantastic in the summer months and most locals from Johannesburg go to the coast over Christmas and New year to spend their time there.
@LeeBee-SA thank you so much for sharing. I hope you get a chance to visit Barbados soon you would absolutely enjoy it , I hope I could visit where you live as well . Around this time of the year they are great deals on coming to the island so you should check them out .Hope we could also meet ,you seem lovely anything else you would like to know about this beautiful place don’t hesitate to ask or write me.
