Summer Series! Embracing the Warmth and Free Fun in NJ!

Hello everyone! I hope you’re all doing well!

The main photo in this post truly captures the excitement I feel when summer approaches in the eastern U.S. :us_outlying_islands: People go out more, clothing is lighter, and the vibe just relaxes a bit, which I honestly really like! Sometimes winter seems to last longer than necessary, and that only increases the anticipation for warm, sunny days. :sun_with_face: Plus, as a Local Guide, I’m thrilled about summer because outdoor photos turn out incredible with bright, natural light. :camera_flash:

One of my favorite things about summer in New Jersey, U.S. (where I live) is the number of concerts organized by various townships, most of which are free! All you have to do is keep an eye on the dates and search Google Maps for event locations. One in particular that I enjoy is organized by the Township of Brick. It’s called Brick Summerfest. During the four weeks of July, starting the day before the 4th, they offer free concerts for residents and non-residents alike at Windward Beach Park. Windward Beach Park It’s a very nice, :wheelchair_symbol: accessible place with sports fields, playgrounds :playground_slide:, and direct access to the beach :beach_with_umbrella: You can bring whatever makes you feel comfortable: chairs, coolers, blankets, games, etc.

The festival offers a little bit of everything: food trucks :delivery_truck:, ice cream :ice_cream:, and an adult area (in case you want a beer :clinking_beer_mugs:). The concerts start early, around 4 p.m., with an all-star band playing from around 7 p.m. The curtain closes, and the night ends (around 9 p.m.) with fireworks. :fireworks:

There are many more free and affordable summer activities in several NJ townships :sun_with_face: that I really like, and they will be part of this short series of future posts. :cowboy_hat_face: I hope you enjoy them! :two_hearts:

What a vibrant and joyful post! @marcorp

You’ve beautifully captured the spirit of summer in the U.S. East Coast — that subtle shift in energy when the sun stays out longer, the music starts playing in parks, and everyone just seems to breathe easier. The photos are absolutely stunning — especially the golden hues of the sky and that cheerful crowd vibe. :musical_notes::sunset:

Brick Summerfest sounds like such a wholesome experience — concerts, fireworks, beach breeze, and ice cream all rolled into one! Looking forward to more of your NJ summer series posts! :orange_heart:

By the way, just curious, do you have a favorite food truck treat you always look forward to at these events?

@NandKK Hi there!:glowing_star: Thanks for your reply; I’m very happy to know that you enjoyed this post as much as I did writing it. Yeah, these activities, such as concerts, are really fun; you can tell how relaxed and excited people are at the same time. Regarding food trucks, I would say burger and taco trucks are among my favorites! What about you?:thinking:

Hi there! @marcorp
Totally agree — the vibe at concerts is always so electric, and seeing everyone enjoying themselves just adds to the fun!
Burger and taco trucks? Great picks! :taco::hamburger:

For me, I’d say I’m a big fan of shawarma and momos from food trucks — something about that street-style flavor hits differently! :face_savoring_food:

@MathanVibranarayan Hi there! Oh, yeah, last year I literally came back from work, changed clothes quickly, and went to the fest; all my stuff was already in the trunk of my car.:sun_with_face:
