I observed that suggested edits to maps - like new address or name remains in ‘pending’ or ‘under review’ mode for a long time, even for weeks/months.
Can there be some timeline to it? Till then information on Google Maps remains OLD and sometimes mis-leading/mis-guiding.

There’s not a timeline for a verification of an edit, that can remain on pending status for a long time, if there aren’t feedback coming to confirm or deny it (e.g. through Fact checking).

The Google algorithms analyze different factors, such as the information submitted, the location of the input, your mapping activity, and other factors to make sure everything added to the map is accurate and follows our guidelines.
There are regions around the world where there simply is not enough information for some edits to come through successfully or immediately and it certainly has nothing to do with you personally. The more information you (or other Local Guides) collect about a place gives your input a better chance of getting through.
