'Suggest an edit'-link is missing sometimes

More often than ever before the link to “Suggest an edit” was missing to today. Sometimes there are no way to suggest an edit to a place. No link down in the listing and no link in the 3-dot menu in the upper right hand corner in the Android app.

Previous when the link is missing in the 3-dot menu we just need to open it again to find it. But not today.

Some I had to wait for hours before the link showed up.

It would be nice to know if this is a known issue, @TraciC (I’m tagging you because I don’t know whom else to tag).

I can help documenting more/better if needed.

Cheers

Hi @MortenCopenhagen

I just tested and I don’t have any issue in suggesting an edit, both on Android mobile and on Desktop.

Is your issue related to a specific place and, if so, is the business claimed?

Have you tried to delete the cache, to reload fresh data?

Of course, adding a link of the business and a screenshot would help

Regarding tagging a moderator, Traci for sure is NOT a moderator. The Meet the Google Moderators post is featured on the top of the Help Desk Board , you just need to tag one of them, they will respond on business days.

Hi @ErmesT

Thanks for your reply.

It is not isolated to specific places and all of them got the links back after some time.

I will test if cache is the problem and report back.

And I will grab some pics if the problem persists.

@ErmesT

Thanks for your advice on cleaning my cache (and data) in Google Maps. I did that.

And since then the “Suggest an edit” link has not been missing anywhere. Thanks again.
