I was late in submitting the video! I was on a trip to night and went to office in the morning. I didn’t realize the UTC time. I just made a video and when I tried to apply I am not finding the application. I just realized its 12:08 AM in UTC time.
Please let me know if there is an exception to submit.
FYI - The video crossed more than one minute.

Hey all myself Aditya here wishing to apply for Connect Live!
I am a level 10 Local Guide from Bengaluru with more than 15k photos uploaded till date and with over 60,00,000 photo views. The journey so far as a local guide has been amazing!
It all started a year and a half back when viewing a place on google maps and finding no reviews disappointed me. So with the curiosity of "what happens if I review a place ? Will my review actually show up and help others, I kick started my journey. My first review to Surana college changed it all. I then received a notification from Google saying “your reviews are helping others”. What more a social service do I need than helping so many people in such a Nobel way. The journey then went on and there was no stop.
Now being a pro-street photographer and a Google Local Guide level 10 makes me feel elated ! The service I have done to the society, all the journey I took to help someone when they posted the question “when does this place close?”.
The feeling of happiness I got when someone likes my review and the 6,370,447 photo views i have got so far is something unprecedented!
Today my city has a lot of fellow local guides like me and we see a lot of reviews at every place that’s on maps.
Now my mission is to make 360° along with the reviews! A lot of places in a city like Bangalore itself needs 360°. Looking forward to attend ConnectLive2018 to have a great insight on all the importance of maps, reviews, that helps any business grow. This will actually help me grow and become an even better local guide. The trust factor that people have towards Google reviews must increase manifold. This will be my next journey. Honest, intact and valued reviews for everyone.
This will be my #mission2018. Come lets make it happen.
Hello Connect Live 2019,
Many applicants applying to connect live 2019 are taking more than a months time to complete the application. There was a query from #Festuna, and in response to his query regarding the time required to submit the application, I have a few observations on this issue:-
(1) There is no technical issue with submission of the application.
(2) You have asked too much of information from the applications and it is taking such a long time to gather the information.
(3) Added to this you didn’t give the option to save the application and edit it later before submitting it.
(4) Most of the information sought-after in the application form is irrelevant, which you, yourself have mentioned in the announcement that you will not be able to look into each and every aspect of the application from the applicants.
(5) It’s obvious that there being 100’s of thousand applications (I am sure that there will be about a million applications this time) it will not be possible to look into the details of each and every application - as a member of the Google community I can help you with the scrutiny of the applications, if you offer me a chance to.
(6) Your basic selection criteria as mentioned in the announcement is that you will be looking for the contribution of the googler for the past 12 months. So my suggestion is that you could have randomly selected some of the Google community members who are very active and invited them to submit their detailed application.
(7) The scenario of connect live 2019 is entirely different from connect live 2018. In 2018 there were not many Google guides who crossed level 5, but just in this one year, millions have crossed the level 5. Take my own case, I was at level 2 or 3 when connect live 2018 was announced and in just a year I jumped up to level 7.
(8) Now, millions from all around the world are aspiring to get selected for this event ( connect live 2019) and in order to achieve this goal, each and every applicant is trying hard and his best to make the application more and more attractive and appealing. In this exercise we are first drafting the application as a word document, editing and re-editing it repeatedly and getting it reviewed by family and friends before finally submitting the application.
(9) After such a tiresome exercise, if one doesn’t get selected it will be very painful and disheartening and this is going to affect millions, some psychologically and some others physically - 200 selections from millions of people is 0.0000002 percent getting through.
(10) Even I am still processing my application and will take another week to submit it.
I hope a suitable solution and reply will follow from you shortly.

As you already used link to this post for your Connect Live application I will put your post back to the forums now and delete your photos. You can edit your post and add some photos you took yourself. Or you can use these stock photos like for example the Alamy stock photo you used because these pictures are not copyrighted and are free to use.

I want to share my personal experience with you. Why? Because I wasn’t selected at first for the Local Guides Summit 2017. I worked hard for preparing my application and editing my video. I was already an active member of the Community, and a Connect Moderator. Well, I wasn’t really expecting to be selected because, from my point of view, a lot of Local Guides deserved it much more than me. I was invited after a week because a Local Guide (sadly) declined for personal reason. So I discovered that I was the 151. At that moment I was more confused than happy. I don’t know the number of people that applied, and some of the Local guide that I meet in San Francisco was unknown in Local Guides Connect, but I can for sure tell you that they were (they are) the greatest Local Guides that I ever met. I learned a lot from them, I learned that it is always possible do make something in a better way, I learned that the level is just the first step for submitting the application. Our contents, our reviews, the quality of our photos, our activity on the Community, are all elements to convince Google to check our application.
I will apply for this year too, I know the number has been increased from 150 to 200, but I already know that for Google will be very difficult to make a choice.
In the last year I have improved a lot the quality of my contributions, in Google Maps and in the Community. If I will not be in the list of the 200, I will be happy to support them from here, trying to improve more, for more opportunity on 2020.
Nice that you want to donate your time for helping in checking the applications, even if I think that it is not a good idea. Let’s Google do his work, this is a moment of happiness for the selected, not a moment of discomfort for the others.
Hi @MOSOMA . I’m guessing you want to add your Connect Live 2019 video. On YouTube, you must upload your video, which there is an upload tab at top of YouTube. Once you have uploaded your video, you have to get link and add the link to your application.
Help? I uploaded the introduction video for the application for Connect Live 2019 and sent the wrong link with my application.
I sent the you tube editor link. How can I fix this? Is it possible to still send the correct link?
@Iris-NL Ah! That’s a really bad mistake. Have you tried the link to see if the video is accessible? I don’t think there is a way to edit the application.
This is the first time I send application for Connect Live event. I have gone through most of the tips shared here and made my own video, uploaded into Google Drive and pasted the link in one of my posts under Local Stories. I dont know if my video application has reached Google team for the next step or not? Is it possible to paste google drive link like that or is there somewhere else should I share the link to?

This is the 1st time I am applying for connect live.1 thing can not understand that how can i share the local stories (which will be posted in l.g.connect page) to the application form? If there i should give any link?how is the process kindly guide me.
