In the list of our suggested edits, we are getting quite a bit of extra information since a while - an evolution I highly appreciate (Kudo’s to the Maps team!). In a particular case, however, part of the information shown in the list is incorrect: for some suggested category edits, the notification shows as suggested category ‘Point of Interest’ instead of the category you actually submitted - as you can see in the screenshot below
The edit as such was processed correctly, as the new suggested category is correctly shown on the POI when checking it after the edit has been approved - as you can see in the 2nd screenshot
It’s not the only thing you may of spotted , the colour for PENDING has changed and now has the same colour as APPROVED which is weird and I’am guessing a coding error.
Thanks for reaching out with the interesting observation with the broad details! : ]
I will check on this regard, as just to be sure, would the occurrence with edit information “Point of interest” is still currently be in your Edits page?
@sonnyNg yes, the ‘Point of interest’ is still in the notifications now, for several different suggested category changes… but not for all; some suggested category changes are correctly shown in the list.
I just wanted to let you know that the current subject would be continued in your already created post POI : Re : Pending Colour Re : The Colour same as APPROVED, should it be more convenient to follow up with the information on the matter.
Would you like us to report on a very similar and new problem in the list of edits here in this thread?
We now see ghost entries related to deleted places, where there is no business name indicating what business we just deleted. This is very new (< a week old). Earlier we could only mark businesses as permanently closed - not it seems we can actually delete them.
It would seem that the two edits you have are successful edits of removal of two different locations (on 17th and 18th of February), correct?
I do think it would be more handy, in case there would be other similar cases to be noticed, if we detach this subject into a separate post, would you agree to that? : ]
