Streets of Hyderabad | Sheek Kebab & Chakhna | Nampally

Hello everyone, I’d like you to know a bit about me before I get into the subject of this post. After finishing my graduation I had made a pact with my friend that we would go out every weekend to a new place and try some new food. and over the past 5 years, we have been to a lot of places and tried various foods. Well, today I am going to talk about something I had in my childhood days and it took us some time to find this place, and try something very different after a long time.

I am talking about the evening of January 26th, 2019. when I had suddenly remembered that there’s a place in Nampally which sells amazing SheekKabab and Chakna, which I have had as a Kid and I wanted my friend to taste this, as it had also been a long time since I too had it, we had a little difficulty in finding the place. I’d be lying if I said “I hadn’t asked for directions” or Use “Google Maps” but Google maps helped me reach the area where I could find, yet I had to roam around the streets to identify where I can find the delicious and mouthwatering sheekkabab which is locally referred as “Kaadi” and the most popular/reminiscent “chakhna” after walking for about 40 minutes across various streets we found the diamond embodied in the coal, in a tiny, not so prominent lane, there sits a store with hardy 60sft room with gloomy lights and and hand painted menu on the wall. I can’t read Urdu/Arabic hence I don’t know the name of the place, I just like to call it “Nampally SheekKabak & Chakhna place” but I would definitely want you all to visit this place and get it some recognition.

If you’re wondering if its good food, I bet you’d love it. I haven’t had all of their items from the menu yet, but the following are the items I had and I love

  1. Kaadi - Rs. 10 per unit/stick or Rs. 50 per plate(5)

  2. Chakhna - Rs. 50 per bowl

  3. Roti - Rs. 10 per unit

I have created the listing on google maps for this store/restaurant, and have linked it in my post you can also click here to visit this place. I request you to take people with you and wish you all have a good time.

Well, that’s one thing off my weekend trends list. I shall write another post for my next memorabilia
