Street View tours can't include exterior of business?

Hello,

I was wondering if the Street View tours have to be strictly interior and are not allowed to start at the exterior of the building. I have a couple of tours that began at the exterior entrance to the building, and the tours keep getting disconnected from the exterior panorama. Has anyone else experienced this or is there some rule that the tour can not include the exterior entrance?

Hi @pabuendia note that SV is no longer supported from Connect, please refer to Street View trusted Help for more information.

To answer your question as a fellow SVtp member, no a tour cannot include the outside as there is no supported way to connect your tour into the existing Street View imagery.

Hi @pabuendia,

I wanted to let you know that your post was relabelled and it now appears in the How-tos section. Have a question related to the Local Guides program? Fee free to use that board to start conversations, ask questions, share tips with other Local Guides, and give us feedback.

As for your question, there are plenty of virtual tours that start with one or more photos from outside the shop/business and then go inside it. This is the aim of a virtual tour. Please have in mind that there are some Street View app features deprecation and it is better to use a third party software to publish your tours. Here you can get familiar with the new changes. Usually this is not an issue to have outside photos but you should not expect to link them to the GSV imagery.

Thank you so much Paul!

I guess my tours are getting automatically separated and the outside panoramas are being added to normal street view imagery. They posted all together, using third party software, then after some time the outside entrance gets disconnected from the rest of the tour. The outside pano in one of the tours is more than 50 feet from any existing SV images, so I guess it is more like an automated process that separates the tours. I will adjust my tours and in the future only include interior pics.
