Kurunegala is the capital of the North Western Province. Puttalam is the other town in the North Western Province. There is a distance of about 90KM between the two towns. the city is a major travel destination in Sri Lanka. It is a two way interchange of two A10 and A6 roads.
Kurunegala is the largest producer of coconuts in the country. Most of the coconut products are produced in Kurunegala District.
The past is very far away in the Kurunegala District. The ancient kingdoms of Panduwasnuwara, Dambadeniya, Yapahuwa and Kurunegala illustrate the location of the major kingdoms of Sri Lanka.
After 2015 Kuranagala City Street view layer is not updated officially. so I did some updates in that area.
