The most interesting thing I’ve done as a Local Guide that, I added 360 degree Street view on google maps of hill tracts road which had not any street view before.
Last month I went to Bandarban with my friends. We explored many remote area and reached to Thanchi. We had to go Alikadam from Thanchi. I opened google street view on my mobile for direction. But Alas! I didn’t find any street view. The road was new and was built by Bangladesh Army. Suddenly I got a idea that I could add the street view of the road. That moment I opened my bag, brought my 360 degree camera and started recording street view. For recording street view I choose motor bike. I joined the camera with my helmet. The road was too risky. People call the road is one of the most dangerous road of Bangladesh. Thanchi-Alikadam Road via Dim pahar, This is about 33-kilometre (km) highest motorable road in Bangladesh ,which is 2,500 feet above from sea level. Now a days it’s become popular highway to the traveler of the our country. From Thanchi its looks like a egg so it is called Dim pahar. Most of the travelers who go there do not get to the main peak of Dim pahar. Every body thinks a shade just before the 23 km point of the road is the main Dim Pahar peak. At the 23 km point there is a Murong shop just beside the road. I felt many barriers to kept balance of the camera strait. But I enjoyed very much. Still I feel very proud to add the road on street view because I have got opportunity to reveal a road which was unavailable.
As a new road there was no street view in Google map, so i am the 1st parson who cover this road.
