I am now a Google trusted photographer, but I am encountering an issue when uploading tours for clients. Once the virtual tour is uploaded, you can see it on their GMB page but not in the Street View box in the Google maps app.
This is normal. The virtual tour of the business is not expected to be there (should not be there). What you see on the box on Google Maps App is the 360 photo from the street, related to the address of the business. The photo is automatically selected by Maps, to help who is searching for the place to identify the business.
You may have a remote possibility to have your photo displayed (the photo is selected by an algorithm) if you take a photo of the storefront of the business
On the park where you added your 360° there is no Street View available, so your photo is automatically selected.
I want to add a note regarding your profile, that appear to be a business. Please read: How to be a Street View trusted photographer while also being a Local Guide . In there you will read: “Choose a profile photo and username that represents who you are. People want to connect with other people, not a logo or business name. Accounts with photos that are obviously branded as businesses may be flagged by the community. To see how you can update your Google account, check the “Change your username” and “Change your profile photo” section in the Gmail Help Center”
I was confused about being a 360 business while also posting on the Local Guides forum, so thanks for the tip, I have changed my picture to make sure I am not represented as a business on the forum. Thank you as well for your answer to my question, I think this may be the solution. I’ve seen other local 360 photographers have their tours visible in this box, and I feel as though businesses like this feature. I also apologize if I’m posting this topic here instead of the private trusted photographers’ forum, but I am unable to access it due to their “revamping” of the program. Cheers!
