Hi All
This is a rewording of a previously unresolved question, more specific, and with more detail. Hopefully I can get an answer, or someone can let me know how to bring it to the attention of the app developers (if that’s what is required).
Using the Street View app on an android tablet, I have uploaded and published a collection of 71 photospheres. I’ve manually linked them.
Within the linking tool within the app, I can see that all the connections are made. Using the preview window at the bottom of the screen, I “walk” the tour by tapping on the location numbers that are overlaid on the panorama. In this way I have walked back and forward along all routes of the tour, and they work fine.
Yet when I click on a photosphere thumbnail within the app, and then walk the tour from one photosphere to another, not all the locations are linked. I’ve waited more than 24 hours. Indeed, I’m seeing the same problem on tours I published over a month ago. Waiting does resolve the problem.
Sometimes I can enter a photosphere from another photosphere and find no arrows at all.
Sometimes I can enter a photosphere from another photosphere and find only an arrow taking me back the way I came, when there should be an arrow going forward.
Sometimes I can enter a photosphere from another photosphere and see two arrows superimposed on top of each other, as shown in the photo below.
To remind you, this is all within the Street View app. And yes, the problem is reflected on when viewing with Google Maps and Google Earth.
You can see an example from a Street View Tour published in April at https://goo.gl/maps/wcdsF5BhdsqhKbZ47 in which there are links forward to the church porch, and around to the left around the back of the church.
This problem is endemic in all the Street View tours I have tried to create over the last few months. If I’m doing something wrong, I’d love to know what it is.
Looking forward to hearing from you guys.
Derek
