Street Food in Thailand : SiriChai pork leg and Seafood

Sa-Was-Dee-Ka

Today I will talk about “Rice noodles in fish and anchovy curry sauce” or Kanom Jeen"

This is not something you can easily find in Thai restaurants overseas, so definitely something you gotta make if you want to experience it!

Kanom Jeen in Thailand, we serve these tender rice noodles with various types of curry sauces or We call “Namya” and you can even go to restaurants where they specialize in kanom jeen and you can choose from a spread of different curry sauces!

Chicken green curry is another popular thing to eat with khanom jeen.

“Namya” is arguably the most popular of all kanom jeen sauce. The curry sauce of each region in Thailand are clearly different. But the main ingredient is still Krachai.

And the curry sauce I ordered today is unique to the northeastern region of Thailand or the Isaan region.

We eat the noodle and fish curry sauce with side dishes such as boiled eggs, pickle cabbage, spring beans, chili powder, Thai basil, dild, coriander, fresh cabbage, long beans, cucumber, etc.

The dining table is lined with various kinds of vegetables.

Don’t miss out on trying this menu at Sirichai pork leg and Seafood if you have a chance to visit Thailand.
