Prague and Seville are my favorites cities.
I especially love their graffiti and street art . When i visited them i take a pictures of the Lennon wall in Prague and take a lot photo for my sister in Seville.
Also everyone has heard about Banksy or Jean-Michel Basquiat. Do you know anything about street art in Ukraine?
If the answer is nothing, you can read this post.
Once upon a time , when i walked around in the city Khmelnytskyi, I found many paintings by street art artists.
It was very interesting for me,because i never heard about street art culture in my city.
One of my favorite paintings is "The Podolianka with a spindle. "
It was drawn by an artist from Ivano-Frankivsk Yuri Pinchuk.
It is located at the intersection of Podolskaya and Kamianetska streets.30 liters of paint ware spent for making this mural.
It’s great that you can take a free photo, because there are no borders. Everyone can visit the picture.
You can see almost of all street art in the city for free and take photos at any day. It is possible thanks the project “Painting City” , which conducted in the city of Khmelnytsky in 2015-2018. Most of the paintings were created during the project.
In particular, during the times of the project was created an “Environmental Mural”. It is located in the city center on Proskurivskaya street. The picture shows us an ecological utopia-city. It was created by an artist Mikhail Korobkov.
This artist also created “The Pianist” mural, which is the popular place where tourists takes photos.
A picture is paints on the wall of the Mykola Mozgovy Music School # 1 in the historic center of the city.
You can take photos at any time, any day. It is best to come here on weekdays when there are no tourists.
The only place that you cannot visit any day is “Proskuriv in Retrospective”. The autor of this mural is Andrey Tomchyshyn.
Mural is located near the Photo History Museum.
The city govermant have investted maney and equpied a court by photolocation in which can people take photos.
This place is usually closed on weekends.
The basic idea of the mural is to tell the stories of the old city, which was destroyed during the Second World War. Until 1954 the city was nemed Proskuriv.
On the pictures you can see the hotel “Continental”, which was built in 1910-12.
The building was destroyed in 1941.
I advise you to see art works “Balloons and Airships” and “Give Us Back to Our Sun”. Murals located on Instytutska Street.
My favorite example of street art in Ukraine is the “Pope John Paul II” mural.
It is located on the street of John Paul II in Kiev.
It is a symbol of the establishment good Ukrainian-Polish relations. It is also a symbol of hope for a better life. People hoped for better days , when the USSR crashed.
I want to say that the picture is perfectly visible in the evening and you can take an amazing pictures.
The strongest emotional work for me is Roman Gurick’s mural in Ivano-Frankivsk.
The Mural is a tribute to all the young people who gave their lives during the dignity revolution in Ukraine in 2014. It is located on the street named after the hero …
I recommend you when you are in Lviv to draw your attention to the walls. Many poems by famous Ukrainian and small-known poets are written on the walls of Lviv.
If you know any slavic languages you can read them.
The main themes of the poems are love, tenderness between people, life in the city, freedom and honor of man. I love reading them.
You can see them on such streets: Prince Roman st, Ferenc Liszt st, Drukarska st, Chornovola 41 and Chornovola 101.
