Thank You @FlameFox ! Yes, You can see them during all the year, near estuaries of rivers. Mostly in Aveiro, Setúbal and Portimão.

Hello @FlameFox ! Currently we have white storks (Ciconia ciconia) in Portugal that no longer migrate to northern Africa due to global warming … Others come from Germany and Poland in the winter. Nests last for several years and are used by the same storks.

Uh, I am sorry for this delay in answering, @Patriciapraca . It’s wow-ing to hear of such change in storks habits. Also, makes me ask if this is a recent change in migration? Considering the reports and fast urbanization development cities and towns, such difference, reflecting the European grounds is slightly worrying.

Storks are beautiful birds with somewhat sense of humor but I guess even they don’t like it.
