Stop unwanted updates from out of my country

Hello all, I am get bombarded with 50 plus emails daily about local items in my email that are NOT local to me?

I live in the united states (TEXAS) and would think that the system would not send me local announcements for china, India, or Philippines. How can I fix this to only receive “LOCAL” for either my state or country?

That’s pretty straightforward.

Go to the profile page through the following address

https://www.localguidesconnect.com/t5/user/myprofilepage/tab/personal-profile:email

If you do not wish to have any email, tick the checkbox to do so.

Else click on the Subscriptions & notifications, then select notification settings & then select the

appropriate ones from the following categories.

  • New topics or articles posted in boards I subscribe to
  • New replies posted to content I subscribe to
  • Responses to other replies I subscribe to
  • Content using a label I subscribe to
  • Posts I’m @mentioned in
  • Accepted solutions to topics or questions I subscribe to
  • Badges I earn
  • Any edits and workflow requests in knowledge bases I subscribe to
  • Edits to published knowledge base articles and topics in areas I
  • Edits to unpublished drafts in knowledge bases I subscribe to
  • Article review requests in knowledge bases I subscribe to
  • Article publication requests in knowledge bases I subscribe to

That will eliminate all unwanted email notifications

you misunderstand C_T I want to receive email from MY local community, not the ones out of the country.

There is actually not a setting based on location on Local Guides Connect, @Local-Concierge .

With the procedure shared by @C_T you can choose how to be notified about post / mentions / likes, on the email.

With my settings I receive an email for every mention, and a daily email for the post where I am subscribed

@Local-Concierge We’re working to build a US Local Guides community. I try to highlight daily US Connect posts on the Local Guides USA Facebook group. :slightly_smiling_face:

I’m also suggesting that all of us add #LocalGuidesUSA to the text of our Connect posts so that it’s easier to find our US posts. With this text in the posts, everyone will be able to find all of the USA based activity on Connect with this search.

Regarding the inquiry, what @C_T and @ErmesT would have shared is fundamental, as in case you may have a well constructed suggestion (in close relation to the regional content notification), I would suggest you to check in the Idea Exchange board (I have found the posts Local Guides Forum based on community /Geo location and Add Country to posts, should they come closest)

Just to be sure, would mind sharing a screenshot of one of the email notifications from Local Guides Connect, as (if it is possible, please do have the whole content of the email to be in the screenshot)?
