There are some special Saturdays in my town when people from all parts of Serbia get together to exchange valuable listening experiences and further confirm their rock and roll experience. And how better to do it than in the company of people who share the same passion for long forgotten values? This time, I’m talking about music vinil records.
Vinyl music is not a thing of the past, as you usually think. You may occasionally meet a friend who will be shocked by the fact that in the 21st century the music vinil records are still printing, but those more familiar will explain that this is quite a normal thing and that with all the technical “benefits” that enable us that music flies faster, more, easier, the plates still remain a timeless medium through which you can experience music in a special way.
With that in mind, several citizens of Novi Sad have decided to organize a fair deal for a vinyl stock exchange that has been held periodically in my town for years in Zeppelin’s cafe.
I like this stock market all the more and it seems to me that this culture of listening to the vinil records is coming back, although the market is not big and as the plates no longer print as before. Culture is back in that sense that old plates are re-purchased.
