Stay on point

I love sharing information that is useful to people and that will help them to decide whether to visit certain places or not. This is important to me as a person using Maps and I felt there would be more people like me who would appreciate such basic information the most.

Mumbai is a megapolis that is changing daily. Old neighbourhoods are changing rapidly and new places come up almost daily, making old markers redundant. There is also a huge migrant population in Mumbai that needs correct information on the city since they may not have the intricate knowledge of the city that people like me who have lived here all their lives, possess.

My sharing on Maps is based on these two factors mentioned above. I love Mumbai and want the people experiencing it to get the correct information to make informed choices. I follow the same principle when I write a review of any place outside Mumbai also.

I try my best to rate all the places on my timeline and to answer questions that pop up in my notifications. After doing a lot of ratings and answering questions, I figured out the kind of information that is important to people who read any reviews I post.

I believe that these days people are pressed for time and it is important to stay focused on essentials rather than extras. In my reviews, I try to give information on hygiene factors such as the cleanliness of restrooms, parking availability, cleanliness of the place, wheelchair accessibility and so on. Once I have covered these basic points, I venture my personal opinions on subjective parameters like the taste of food in a restaurant or the ambience in a mall for those who are interested.

I like to think I am doing a public service to the people who read my reviews and view my ratings and so take it as a responsibility to be as honest, clear and concise as possible.
