#StateChallenge The California Burger

This is the classic California burger chain that has been established since 1948. The man behind this is Harry Snyder. He introduced California’s first drive-thru hamburger stand in Baldwin Park. This is a famous and MUST TRY burger in California. Can you guess what burger is it?

The answer is IN-N-OUT Burger. Most of the stands is located in California, but if you are not in this state, you could also enjoy IN-N-OUT Burger in another states, such as Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Texas, and Oregon.

I tried IN-N-OUT Burger in Los Angeles, where it was still crowded in the night just like when we came here on a Friday night around 11PM. One of the good choice to have a late night food!

One of the interesting thing here is they have some secret menu that does not listed. We tried Cheeseburger and the other two are from secret menu, which are Protein Style and Animal Style Fries.

Let’s talk about the food one by one!

Cheeseburger
Buns fille with tender beef, lettuces, sliced tomato, mustard, along with the cheese sauce. This is my first time trying a burger with a little bit crunchy buns texture! Tastes good and it will make your tummy full.

Protein Style
If you are on a diet, you may choose this one. The filling is the same with Cheeseburger, but the buns are replaced with hand-leafed lettuces. It is a good choice to gain lower calories, isn’t it?

Animal Style Fries
Now let’s forget about gaining lower calories because this secret menu is the real temptation :joy:
The real crispy fried sliced potatoes with the sour and savoury spread, cheese sauce, and chopped grilled onions.

You’re welcome @Zino That Protein Style belongs to my friend. Because it was my first timer, so I definitely tried their Cheeseburger. Trust me that their buns are the best :yum:

But for the next visit, probably I will try the less calories one as long as I don’t get any temptation to eat the buns :joy:

Your list is so interesting. I’m drooling by looking at those burgers

Shake Shack is also one of the best! Love their beef.

Do you like egg? If so, I would like to recommend another burger chain in LA that provides egg.

@Velvel Double Double :hamburger: , animal style, add ketchup, eaten upside down so the flavorful bits are closer to my tongue. Also, fries :fries: , well done, with pepper added to the ketchup.

@Velvel I also am a big fan of protein style/animal style!

@JordanSB @Velvel You are forcing me to put up some of the many photos I have of me at the In-N-Out burger!!! When we went to San Jose back in October, I paid for two one way trips on an Uber to go the one there!!!

The only place (or thing) I love as much (or more) is Krispy Kreme! …and, yes, I have tons of photos of me eating there!
