Starting off.

Well today I started off my journey. Mission is to become a google verified local photographer before the end of the year. Since I do not own a 360 camera yet. I decided to use my phone. This morning has been quite a learning curve since I am not use to using the 360 app but it’s interesting for me and I am excited to take more photos. First few had been a bugger up but the next 10 will be better.

I have been doing the local guide thing for about 3 years now. One thing is I like helping and informing people about places. In the last year I have come across many business that does now 1 the full scope and services that google offers. 2 business owners that are uninformed about google maps and rewiews and how it impacts there buinesses. Maps allows me to explore my suroundingss and meat the staff and owners of small and medium non franchise business in my area. And helping them with rewiews and photos is something that I like and helps them. Becoming a google approved photographer give me just that little extra credibility/ endorsement for doing what I like to do.

Update - So far I got 33 approved photos but who ever wants to become a approved photographer I found out this.

  1. Seriously consider to invest in a dedicated 360 camera. Cell phones works great outdoors or wide open spaces but u do encounter the occasional stichings faults.

  2. Don’t expect your photos to be approved right away. I have noticed that the Google Street view app can take up to 3 days to show photos or stats to be updated. I recon Patience is key as to this topic.

  3. Don’t try to coppy others. One can easily find places that has been shot before on your phone or P.C. that has 360 photos. Ignore the good ones and move on but if u think the places photo is outdated or a low quality u can do your own photo take on the place and ask Google to delete the irrelevant photo with supporting details.

Kind regards.

Juju
