Hello fellow LG’s my today’s post is extremely close to my heart. Today I’m not sharing about a place I visited or a cuisine I tried. Today’s post is about my very existence. Whatever I am today I owe everything to this Institution.
I take great pride in sharing with you about the St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Mumbai which has been recognized as a heritage structure by the University Grants Commission and Mumbai Heritage Conservation Committee. St. Xavier’s has completed 150 years as of 2 January 2019 and is the best academic institute of Mumbai. Mukesh Ambani, Ratan Tata, Soli Sorabjee, Fali Nariman, Salman Khan, Azim Premji to name a few are proud Alumni of Xavier’s.
I am a Proud Xavierite too and have been a part of this prestigious Institution for 5 years. When I came to Xavier’s I was just a shy girl. Xavier’s taught me to speak my mind; it developed the leadership skills in me and I went on to become a member of the Xavier’s Political Science Student Council and later the President of the Moot Court Association in my Law School.
Xavier’s motto “Provocans Ad Volandum” means “Challenging to Fly” and that’s exactly what it did to me Xavier’s gave me wings and taught me how to fly.
Fests
Malhar the most popular college fest in Mumbai is hosted by the Students of St. Xavier’s. The event which is spread over a period of 3 days happens in the month of August. It is attended by students of 50+ colleges in and around Mumbai and has a footfall of 15000+ attendees. The college also hosts Janfest; Antas; Ithaka and various others festivals and conferences throughout the year.

I can imagine someone walking up to you thinking you are shy only to be confronted with an Eagle. Thanks to ‘Xavier’s’ upbringing.
St. Francis Xavier himself is a very great Saint.
Thanks for sharing this with us, it sure has prepared me well for the Good Friday program I am about going for (online), we have to follow on TV and online for now.
We pray for an end to the COVID-19 and very soon too.
Greater heights for you and if ever I am in Mumbai, I will catch up with you. I will follow you right away

Thank You @ogewuru
Autonomous indicates that Xavier’s is affiliated to Mumbai University but it is independent and follows its own curriculum, rules and regulations.
