This is a beautiful place @RavindranK thanks for sharing can you please tell us something about it?

Beautiful temple and beautiful photography !!

Thank you for your comments. In India Adi Sankara has travelled more than 15000 k.ms by foot in a span of 32 years. Note, we have to deduct 7 years when he was kid in Kerala, Kaladi with his mother before leaving for north to take up a recluse life what we call as sanyasi (monk). More over, it is said he stayed in Sringeri for 12 years writing bashyas (elucidations of veda, Vedanta, Upanishads etc.,). So he travelled across India for nearly 19 years before attainig Samadhi in Kedarnath. Sringeri is held in high reverence because Adi Sankara established his first Mutt or branch and installed Lord Sri Saradha. Here there is an unbroken chain of seers since then. Moreover, rishi Rishyasringa did penance here in Ramayana period and hence this place is named after him. There is a temple for Rishyasringa in a place called Kigga, 7 kms from Sringeri. Sorry I have burdened you with lot of info. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you want more.

Best wishes.
