It has such an amazing nature, but at the same time wild danger ubiquitous. Most of locals are naive and adorable, ready to help you anytime, anywhere. Like other places in the world, just pay attention to the people who attempt to take advantage of foreign tourists.
If I share one thing that happened to me, I got a bite by an astray dog in the street. Be prepared to the unexpected accident. I visited 3 other top private hospitals in Sri Lanka but could not get proper treatment whatsoever the reasons. Finally, as a last try, I visited the National Hospital Sri Lanka(General Hospital) and got the most wonderful experience. Just in case, I share the hospital’s location, for anyone has issues to pay a visit a hospital in Sri Lanka.
Thank you for this post. I’ve never been to Sri Lanka, but I’ve heard that it’s very beautiful there. Like every country, Sri Lanka I believe also have some positive and of course some not so great traits. It’s wonderful that you’ve shared your experience as you had it, with the good and the bad. I just hope that your overall trip there was pleasant.
P.S.: Please note that I’ll remove the language label from your post, as it may confuse some members of the community.
Hi @KIM19 , Thanks for the post. As a Sri Lankan, I would agree with the general assessment, but admittedly limited by necessity. Happy that you got good treatment at the National Hospital, and I very much hope that you had a very good experience overall, in spite of the risky dog bite. Best.
@KIM19 I also notice that your pictures have rotated in posting, this happened to me too at random. I don’t think there is a still a solution to this problem, I made a post on this where some Guides have commented. Have a look.
@Sarath-Ab Hello, when it happened to me for the first time, I tried to fix it and tried in many ways, in vain. After that, I just leave them as they show. Spending the time without results couple of days, then I gave up to rotate in right way. Even if the picture were on the right position, after I posted, it showed wrong way… I am innocent about this fact, so I simply decided not to be stressed! hahaha
@KIM19 , Although there is no clear solution to the problem of photos loosing orientation, I have found a kind of a solution. Opening the rotating photo, doing some minor editing and freshly saving it seem to do the trick. But there must be a better solution to this.
