Kondagattu Sri Anjaneya Swamy Temple is located about 35 Kms from Karimnagar is a famous temple of Lord Anjaneya Swamy means of Lord Hanuman amidst the hills, valleys & water springs and surrounding displays the scenic beauty.
It’s situated on a hill. There are many legends which are associated with this temple about it’s existence. This temple was built by Krishna Rao Deshmukh on the existing temple. It’s believed that if a married childless women offers worship for 40 days at this temple then she will be blessed with a child.
According to another legend Hanuman was called to fetch the magical herb to save the life of Lakshmana, he lifted whole mountain known as Gandhamardhan Parbat and flown to the battlefield. While in this flight a part of this mountain was dropped at this place.
But the devotees have great faith in this temple of Lord Anjaneya Swamy. As this temple is walled complex with decorated main entrance and also the simple sanctum and hall. Devotees in large numbers keep coming here daily and devotees from every corner of the country and region. This temple is very famous among devotees and their boundless faith is noteworthy.
It’s a walled complex and main entrance is magnificent built in Dravidian style. Sanctum sanctorums is built by stone and roof is supported by plain stone pillars. Boundary wall is having niches at the top housing various deities. Present temple is about 170 years old. Devotees and visitors have to walk through the road from the Car Parking though little tiresome but exciting.
Adequate security arrangements by the management and by the local Government administration are made. Photography is not allowed in side the temple premise. It’s a major attraction among the devotees history buffs wanderers soulseekers heritage art and architecture lovers.
