I currently live in the southern region of Sweden, Skåne, where I do part of my PhD studies. It is my first time experiencing spring season, and I can’t stop taking pictures of everything.
Alnarp, where the campus sit, is very quiet, surrounded by beautiful parks, forests and a beach. It is absolutely gorgeous. On a clear day, which is most days nowadays, the place is perfect for walks, jogging and cycling with its well-maintained trails. Boat-riding and fishing are always options as you are never far from a water body anywhere you are in Alnarp. Wild rabbits and deer are also common sighting.
The smell from the flowers is simply intoxicating. Common flowers include daffodils, dandelions, tulips and cherry blooms. There are lots of magnolia, apple and pear trees blooming too!
On weekends, picnic groups dot parks and open green spaces. Late evenings are great for barbecue given the late sunset. If you are a fan of wild herbs picking, southern Sweden is the perfect place for you to visit in spring!
