Spring in the Mitten State #MichiganYearAround

Hello Local Guides,

How are you? I hope happiness and smiles will be with you all the time

Here comes May one of the months in Spring. I was behind in posting about this season in Michigan due to some personal issues that needed serious attention, but anyways it is still Spring!.

When does the Spring start and end? It officially starts on March 20 and ends on June 21. Ever heard of ā€œApril showers will bring May flowersā€?. During April it rains a lot to set spring in motion and winter thaws making the trees bud and flowers bloom, but snow sneaks a lot in April and May also.

Toward the end of March temperatures occasionally drop below zero (-3C or 27F) and the high temperature can reach up to 70F or 21C. The fluctuation of the temperature in one day can be 30 degrees easy. Due to this temperature fluctuation, it is always safe to wear layers and when it is too hot you still can take the top layers off.

Places like parks, roadside parks, and mainly campgrounds are not open till Mother’s Day which celebrates on the first Sunday in May. Other places open year-round. It will be enough activities to enjoy.

During this spring season, I would love to highlight annual activities: visiting Eastern Market during flower day, enjoying the beauty of the Tulips Festival in Holland, stopping at Roadside Park when traveling, and shopping at the seasonal flower market (it is the time to start gardening or plant flowers) considering the cold temperature will not freeze them all.

Fashion style? Yes! It is the time to pack away your cold-weather jacket/coat and bring the 50F jacket some are daring enough to wear a dress :sari:

I encourage other Local Guides who experience the spring weather, PLEASE share photos when flowers bloom in your area!!! Tell us the story of your spring activities, meals, or any other things that another area has no clue about. Be inspirational so others in another part of the world will be able to enjoy the beauty of it.

Thank you in advance for reading this post, follow me on my next adventure during Spring!

As you are aware, most of India has wet and dry tropical climate. So we don’t feel heavy differences…

Well, I enjoyed reading your post a lot.

Both the photos are beautiful and contextual too.

ā€œā€¦ Places like parks, roadside parks, and mainly campgrounds are not open till Mother’s Dayā€¦ā€

This too is a new piece of information…

Thanks for sharing these important things… Dear @Erna_LaBeau

PS :

Multi layer dressing helps a lot in severe cold conditions.
