Spicy Punjabi Lunch at Pind Balluchi

We went to visit Aguada Fort after our morning breakfast and didn’t knew how 3 hours passed and its almost lunch time. We were searching for an Indian restaurant near Calangute Mall and found Pind Balluchi Restaurant on Aguada - Siolim Road. If you’re around Calangute, this Aguada - Siolim Road restaurant is one worthy contender for satisfying Indian cravings. Expect quality food, as everything on the menu is cooked to order for a fuss-free meal at Pind Balluchi Restaurant & Bar.

We ordered Gilafi Chicken Seekh, Mutton Seekh Kebab, Dahi De Kebab, Mushroom Kurkure, Chicken Drumstick, Murg Makhani and Dhaba Meat.

First we tried the tender Gilafi Chicken Seekh which was impressed in the very first bite for its perfectly balanced flavours and a lovely grainy and tender texture. The masalas in the Gilafi Chicken Seekh had an overwhelming blend at start but seemed the same after a point of time.

Next we go for the Mutton Seekh Kebab – perfectly minced mutton mixed with cottage cheese, onions, ginger, tomatoes and exotic spices, alongside light and tangy pudina yogurt dip. The juicy, crispy and generously portioned Mutton Seekh Kebabs are highly recommended to all.

We didn’t hesitate to munch on the crunchy and juicy Mushroom Kurkure, which comes with onion relish, harissa yogurt and coriander chutney. The Clay Oven-Fired Dahi De Kebab was another solid choice. The menu features Punjabi-inspired eats and the super crispy Chicken Drumsticks were must try. The crispy and melt in mouth Chicken Drumstick paired with yogurt and coriander chutney was also a winner as well.

In main course the delightful Dhaba Meat made with select cuts of goat meat and slow cooked with blend of homemade spices was very authentic. I will recommend all for trying the Dhaba Meat, which was mild in palate yet very flavourful, featuring soft melt in mouth mutton pieces dipped inside creamy gravy, and served with steamed rice or Indian breads.

Then we tried their Murg Makhani and it was delightfully smooth and juicy. Here Murg Makhani was cooked traditionally, featuring chicken tandoored to tender, juicy perfection and intensely fragrant tomato and cream gravy made with local spices finished with butter.

@Austinelewex Hahaha, now you are flexitarian. LOL. Yes, I love mushrooms. My favorite is Portobello. The problem is I can’t find them around my area and it is expensive. I would love to try mushroom soup in Nigeria too as I’m a mushroom fan.
