Vada Pav is a famous Indian street food native to the state of Maharashtra.
Vada pav
Ingredients-
Gram flour, boiled potatoes, peanuts, salt, red chilli powder, Kashmiri red chilli powder, minced onion, mustard seeds, cooking oil, pav(buns), garlic, and coconut(dry).
Recipe-
Vada
-In a pan heat some oil.
-Add mustard seeds and let them sputter.
-Add onion. Let them fry for a bit.
-Add mashed boiled potatoes, salt, chilly powder, and water. Mix it property and then saute.
-Keep it aside and let it cool.
-Make small balls of the mixture.
-In a separate bowl, add gram flour, salt, red chilli powder and water to make a thick paste.
-Heat the oil for deep frying
-Dip the balls into the thick paste, then release them in hot oil.
-Don’t overcook it or let the upper layer turn crunchy.
Red masala
-In a pan heat some oil. Add garlic and peanuts. Roast them.
-cool the mixture
-In a mixing jar, add the peanut-garlic mixture, dry coconut, and Kashmiri red chilli. Grind it.
-It’s now ready
Cut the bun into two halves. Put some masala on one side and then the ball over it. Put back the two halves close to each other like a sandwich and Enjoy your Vada Pao!
You can eat it with different sauces and Chutney.
