Good afternoon everybody,
I would like to request information … today I updated the Google Maps app on my mobile phone and noticed that setting a road route from A to B on the route is indicated the Speed Cameras (instantaneous and average speed detection system). If I open google maps from the PC browser instead they don’t appear, is it normal?
I would also like to ask you, if there was a speed camera not reported and I wanted to insert it on the map, how can I do it? I have seen that among the various categories it is not present.

Great that you have discovered the new update, @Alfred_V
Of course is for mobile, as it is designed to help you while driving, and is active only during Navigation mode
You can report a speed camera, or a car accident, by pressing the bubble with a + inside, on the bottom right of the screen. Please avoid to do it if you are driving, unless you are the passenger

The button is visible only during Navigation, @Alfred_V
From there you can edit, reporting a speed radar, an accident, or a slow cue

Probably the new feature is just rolling out. Wait a few days to see if you will get it. Which version of the app are you using? Light, standard or the official public beta? I have the last one

The speedcam feature was added recently to google maps in Jordan, I’m planning to go survey for speedcams and create a KML map of them which i can later submit to google, how can i go about this? is there anyone i can contact for this?

Should your devices yet to have the feature, it is suggested to give it a bit more time, as Ermest kindly previously shared.

Hi @Bewinxed ,
You can report missing speed cameras via the application, when you are using it in navigation mode.
You will notice a bubble with a plus sign inside and when you press it, you can select the type of report you want to submit.

Hi @Swen this is a new feature that is rolling out in some countries around the world over the last few days. There is no official help article on it yet. When in navigation mode there is a new “+” control that you can tap to report various things. Get your passenger to do it or pull over for safety.

Hi @Swen in my knowledge and experience I have never seen a feature to add that, if someone has seen it may be based on their country I would like to know how it works and how its done, see the screen short bellow which illustrate what can be added on Google map except the other general features such as reviews, photos and videos which we can add. Thank you.
