Ok. So Google has sent out an email saying you’ve won a Special award. To redeem your award click ‘redeem now’ or copy and paste the code. However, it doesn’t work. Is this reward only for the USA? Because it doesn’t seem to work in Australia. . . cheers

How are you trying to redeem? What browser are you using to click the link in the gmail?

Hi @Paul-OConchobhair I’m in Sydney and my link worked fine. I opened my email on my iPhone and redeemed it straight from there.

This reward is not only for the USA… Make sure that:
- You copy your redemption code from your email
- Click/select the Redeem now button
- Make sure that you past your redemption code over the code shown on the redemption screen do not rely on the default code shown there!!!
- Click/Select the Redeem button, and
- You should be fine after this, just follow the steps to choose your special reward and enter the delivery address!
My thinking @PaulPavlinovich and @PennyChristie is that seeing the redemption code on the redemption screen can give the misconception that there is no need to type it in. That field is not auto-filled.

My default code worked fine @AdamGT it was the same as the one in the email. You should only need to click the link in the email and say “redeem now” and fill out all the details of getting it shipped to you.

My default code was also the same as in the email @PaulPavlinovich but accepting this default didn’t work for me without going through the basic steps I described, that is retyping or copying and pasting the code into the field on the redemption screen. I wonder whether this issue might be device related or some other similar factor at play! I’m not exactly sure what problem @Paul-OConchobhair had but thought to mention how I solved the issue I encountered but if so, then worth a try!

Hey @AdamGT my redemption code was automatically filled in as soon as I pressed the “Redeem now” button in my email. I didn’t need to copy and paste the code at all. I did all of this using my iPhone.

Thank You for your reply. I read your mail and then had a light globe moment.
So, I closed Google Chrome and opened up Windows edge. And the redemption code worked.
I guess I learnt something today, for future reference.

As I mentioned while it worked straight out for some, I had a problem like yours and go it working in the end and I’m pleased to hear that you also got it to work.
By the way, when sending the same basic message to multiple people it would be easier and more efficient to name them all in and send the one message. Also, you may not be aware about tagging, so please let me explain. When you leave a message or reply to someone it’s a good idea that you properly tag them so that they will get a notification of your message otherwise they may never know about or see your message. To tag someone, first type @ then type the first few characters of their name until you see their name in the dropdown list. Finally, select the person’s name. You will see that I tagged you at the start of this message to you. Many think that this is done automatically when you reply to someone but it is not.
