If I had to choose my favorite category within google maps, it would be speakeasy bars - hidden bar in different cities. These bars are always set with different themes and look really convincing. In Argentina we have a lot of them. Most of them are hidden in the back of a restaurant and you need a special password to get in.
My favorite one is hidden behind a flower shop.
Finding hidden bars in different cities is certainly part of every trip I take.
My home city of Melbourne has plenty hidden in it’s fantastic laneways.
Two of my favourites are Eau De Vie and Fall From Grace but really, just pick a laneway and you’re bound to find something.
In Sydney, look for Palmer & Co and a great coffee shop Marlowes Way
amongst others that spring to mind, try The Noble Experiment in San Diego, Bourban & Branch in San Francisco or Angel’s Share in New York.
