Spam. Positive and negative reviews.

Can you tell me how Google fights spam? How can I help fight spam. I noticed that many people buy positive and negative reviews.
Here is a good example. Many positive reviews and many sharply negative.

Link google maps

There are sites that allow you to place such orders. Here is an example.

I know that I can mark a review as inappropriate, but I cannot mark 300 reviews. And I can not put a mark for administrators or moderators of Google maps, that there are violations in the quality of spam.

Thanks.

p.s. The picture is my creative work for 30 minutes. For clarity. ))

Hi @user_not_found unfortunately I think it is quite impossible to fight issues like this one. The best way to fight spam is that the owner of the activity answer to the fraudolent ones in order to explain to people why don’t trust to some reviews. For sure you can mark the reviews but for now I don’t see any other way to fight spam.

Hi @user_not_found thank you for reaching out and we are glad to see that you are against spam. I am sure our team will do everything to assist here. As sometimes it may be impossible to deal with this kind of reviews at once, you can always report it when you see them to us here. And when you see those which can be marked as inappropriate do that. Our Google Moderators will assist you on this matter. Thank you.

Hi.

This is an impossible task to mark 300 reviews for only 1 store. And in some stores they buy several thousand reviews. I’m sure there are a lot of such stores. If you have a specific solution, tell me. I will be glad to see the specific instructions that need to be done.

Thanks.

Hi @user_not_found as a local guide we have limited powers, but what we can do is to report it here, since you have reported it, you just need to Waite until a Googler respond to you.

@user_not_found ,

Last time I reported a website selling false reviews on Google Maps it was taken care of right away.

I suggest that @sonnyNg step in and help you out.

Google moderators can also take a look at the business you mentioned.

All the best

I found the business by accident, because it bought bad reviews. I don’t know, they buy good there. But I provided information on buying bad reviews. It will be good to check this information.

Yes it looks like someone (a competitor maybe) made sure to have plenty of negative reviews placed there. Do you know this place? On street view it is not easy to spot this place. On the ground info can maybe be helpful.

Over 800 reviews on a business that is not directly visible on streetview is unusual.

I hope in future there will be more “trusted” LGs to which ask for give a attendibility feeling to the reviews maybe in form of tasks (as existing for add/evaluate information about POI around us).

I perfectly know that this kind of “power” could be dangerous and it’s difficult to control a “trusted” LG operate.

Well, in my opinion we as LGs have the possibility to improve the information quality on GMaps and try to sensitize other LGs and users to do the same. @user_not_found I think there are thousand of examples like yours so it’s impossible to make a stock of the situation and solve the problem.

Not. I do not know this place. I went to a forum where people write articles and make money. There was a post about services. They pay about $ 0.5 for posting a bad review. I decided to look and write right here. I think it’s not right to buy and sell reviews.

Thanks for reaching us, @user_not_found

The case shown by you seems clear to me. A lot of Local guides, all with only one review, writing (probably fraudulent) reviews against a business.

The right thing to do in this case is what you did: Reporting here. I am tagging a Google Moderator, @TsekoV to check this post

For more information about how to report a fraud in Google Maps, please read: How to identify and report fraud on Google Maps

How do you know that only men are involved in such activities?
you could draw two women, or a woman and a man. @user_not_found
Thanks, I really like your drawing, but I would have written a name or two, explanatory
