I’ve read an interesting post about coins by @EmekaUlor and I decided to ask the community a question. What do people bring as souvenirs to Connect Live?
I had never been to such a grand event where people from so many countries are gathered together.
Those who already participated, could you please give your kind advice to future attendees.
What can we bring with us to exchange souvenirs with other members (based on your past experience). Thank you ?
P.S. I’m collecting the snow globes. They help me keep feeling the Spirit of Christmas throughout the year
On the pictures my son is choosing the snow globes for me and my friend in one of the #souvenir shops of #Strasbourg. It was touching.
P.S. @EmekaUlor I’ve already packed the coins ?

Hello @PositiveVibes77 ,
Although I find your topic interesting I would like to remind you that we always encourage guides to share their original content, so I would like to recommend you review the following post: How do I follow the original content guidelines on Connect?.
Can you please edit your post and remove the picture because it does not appear to be your own and is in violation of the Local Guides program rules. You can do that by pressing on the 3 dots in the left corner of the post and edit the picture. Thank you.

Hi @PositiveVibes77 from my experience during the Connect Live 19 I can tell you that it is not so important what you bring as a souvenir but the spirit and motivation with which you carry it. Usually the participants of the event bring something that represents them, which represents the country they come from and the culture to which they belong. This little thought often makes an even stronger bond with the participants and sometimes causes a story to be created behind that gift. In my case I had brought 200 photographs concerning art, culture, food and places on my island, Sardinia. Behind each photo there was a small description and everyone could bring one home not only as a souvenir of the event but also to get to know a part of the world that perhaps they have never seen or visited. This bracelet in the photo is an excellent example of a very important friendship created during the event with @DianaTuaty I have this Venezuelan bracelet always with me with the other orange Local guides bracelet

Hi @PositiveVibes77 I am glad you got inspired by my post on coins from Connect Live.
There is no specific item required at Connect, in fact, you don’t need to bring a gift if you don’t have the resources. It is voluntary.
Some Local Guides bring legit items to showcase their tradition and culture but it must be able to pass customer checks. Note!
Gifts could range from coins, scarves, button badges, handcrafts, keyholders, mini flags, traditional attires, sweets, biscuits, wine, spirit, earings, bracelets etc.
Here is a post to show you some gifts received from Local Guides in the past.
Anything to bring to share is truly a big deal.
