December 2019, I visited Vellore ( A city of TamilNadu , India ) . Mainly people visit Vellore for medical treatment . Btw beside the CMC Vellore, there was a restaurant , "Jothie Biryani " . I bought the quarter biryani , price was $1 . The Biryani was too light and tasty also . The piece of the chicken was too soft. The best attraction was , serving the biryani on banana leaf.

Really Biryani is spicy , by the way this South Indian Biryani was not too much spicy that it seems to be healthy food

Biryani is my most favourite dish . In India there are different kinds of Biryani are found e.g " Awadhi Biryani , Lucknow Biryani , Hyderbadi Biryani, Kolkata Biryani , South Indian Biryani …etc…
Awadhi & Hyderbadi Biryani is too much spicy and rich food . South Indian Biryani is light , so called healthy food .
Among Those biryani Kolkata Biryani is different because it comes with Biryani Rice , Chicken and Potatoes .

Thanks for sharing the delicious Briyani photo. I am also a Local Guide from Vellore currently living in Bengaluru. Briyani is my favorite dish too. Biryani is also my favourite dish , brother . I love south Indian Biryani because first of all it’s healthy, less spicy , oils in Biryani . Even the chicken was too soft .
I suggest you if it is possible to taste Kolkata Biryani, please eat once . Kolkata Biryani is also good, not too much spicy like Awadhi and Hyderabadi biryani. The extra feature is u’ll get a piece of potato in every Biryani ( egg / chicken / mutton ) . Love you brother
