Hi @Nomsamercy welcome to local guides connect. This is the right place to learn and connect with fellow local guides. Since you are from here locally, it won’t be difficult for you to meet other local guides, we do have local guides from Johannesburg but at the moment they are not that much active here on connect, If you need more information or to meet with your local people for a meetups, please join our unofficial local guides group called Local Guides South Africa this does not substitute Local Guides Connect, for more information on how to use this platform, just follow what has been shared to you by @ErmesT and thanks for mentioning me.

I believe there are fellow Local Guides from your area here on Connect. I suggest searching the community for mentions of the city you are living to find posts that have that name in the title, body of the post, or the location tag. Feel free to jump into those threads and connect with Local Guides in your area. You can also take a look of this meetup recap - Durban Photo Walk Meetup Recap.
You can use this quick link to find all upcoming planned meetups and activities in your region. If you wish to join a meet-up, you can follow these tips.
If you want to host your own Meet-ups please follow the link. But before that, I recommend you reading the What are your tips for first-time meet-up hosts? article. You will notice a ton of tips for persons like you that are interested in planning a Meet-up.
Just as a reminder, don’t forget when responding to others make sure to tag them (by writing @ before their names) in a post so they can receive notifications that you are communicating with them.
