¡Hola a todos! 
Hoy me sorprendí gratamente con un mensaje de Google Maps, que me hizo recordar los lindos momentos que pasé hace aproximadamente dos años en un viaje familiar a Canadá 
. Durante ese viaje, conocimos varias ciudades cerca de Toronto, pero una en particular, Oakville, me llamó mucho la atención por varios motivos. 
Era impecable; literalmente, era más fácil encontrar pokemones que algún desperdicio en el suelo. 
Además, tenía una arquitectura hermosa, cierto aroma bohemio, especialmente al caer la tarde-noche, y unas vistas fabulosas del Lago Ontario. 
El mensaje de Google Maps era una mención por la cantidad de “me gusta” que recibió una foto que tomé de la Knox Presbyterian Church (¡es justo decir que el día soleado me benefició mucho!). La foto está lejos de ser perfecta, hasta se ve mi sombra tomando la foto con mi celular 
, pero si tiene su cuota de emoción, sobretodo por el hecho que está ayudando a otras personas de algún modo 
. Me sorprendió porque 50 “me gusta” por una foto es inusual para mí. Si bien tengo varias fotos con muchas vistas, los “me gusta” requieren un paso extra por parte de quien revisa Google Maps.

I see it under Oakville but not under the church. Where did you upload the picture to?

Es ist ein sehr schönes Bild gute Lichtverhältnisse, perfekt.
In asiatischen Ländern sind viele Likes üblich, ich kann dann immer nur staunen .

@MortenCopenhagen It is, right? I believe I uploaded it(back then) under Oakville as a town; I don’t remember why I did that. 
I started looking on the hard drives I have (that was an old phone) if I can find the picture and maybe others I took from the church and upload those under that label.

@MortenCopenhagen You were right; I just confirmed that the picture I uploaded (under Oakville as a town) is somehow featured on their main screen.

Uploading photos to geographically features and areas like cities is actually against the guidelines.

@MortenCopenhagen Now that we’re on the topic of Google Maps, I was wondering if you could help me with a question. I want to create captions for my photos in Maps, but I think I’ve been doing it wrong. I noticed you have 75 captions in your Google Maps profile. Do you know the steps to properly do that?
There are two different things called Captions on Google Maps.
A short text added to an image. I believe this is the one you know about.
The one is listed and counted on our detailed stats page. Thise are when we make a photo update as described here:

Maps has a dedicated photo selection AI that picks the “best” photos from places inside the city/area. It is a sucker for bright colors and deep blue skies.
