Some tips and tricks to click better photos and ways to edit

If you are so keen and interested about photography then here are some tips that may help you to click better photos with your mobile

Don’t worry even if you have a low end mobile phone with you here are some interesting tips about photography and editing as of my knowledge .

Photography is not just about clicking pictures on the go .

Always have your own perspective and imagination of how you want the picture to look like even before clicking it.

Also I would like to suggest the beginners to turn on the grids options in camera to take better photos. As grids will help you a lot in clicking pictures with symmetry in case of buildings and other objects too. Camera → Settings → Grids

Here are some of the pics clicked with grids turned on.

Also if your camera cannot capture a wide angle shot don’t worry here is a technique to click wide angle pictures in your mobile too

Just head to the panorama mode of your camera and click only the portion that you wanted to click in the wide angle mode

Coming to editing

One app that I use and recommend you all to use for editing is SNAPSEED

Snapseed is one good app that will help you with all your image corrections and enhancement

You can go ahead with the some preset filter that can make your pics look better

If your mobile image quality isn’t good then you can make it look better by improving the details and colour correction of the image using Snapseed.

Also snapseed can help you with the correction of the image rotation which will help you in clicking symmetry pictures in case of some small tilts.

You can enhance the low light images with snapseed using the inbuilt filter (Day light) and by adjusting the brightness, contrast, saturation, ambience, shadows.

Even snapseed can help in editing the 360° street view pics where some glitches happen during stitching. It can be corrected by using healing option.

Hi @VickyKrish ,

Great tips, thanks for sharing them. I am sure that other Local Guides will find them useful. Do you always edit your photos? What is your favourite picture you’ve taken?

Yeah @MoniDi mam I always prefer to edit my photos unless i have enough time . Because that can improve the quality of my photos and make it look better because the my mobile is a low end model. I always believe in uploading quality content as much as I can . I don’t have one click as my most favourite as I always click all my pictures with my utmost dedication and interest :slightly_smiling_face:. Can I know which click of mine do you like the most?

Thanks for asking @VickyKrish .

Since I love colours a lot, my favourite photo from this post would be the one taken at Patrika Gate. It shows the beauty of the place and at the same time the gate is very well framed in the photo.

Hi @VickyKrish ,

Thanks a lot for the nice tips that you gave us!

I liked a lot the examples that you gave us because I think they are the most important for one photo. I personally don’t like the editing programs because I think the photo is more beautiful when it’s natural and is not edited. But sometimes these programs help us for the post editing when needed.

I am also passionate about photography and I am very happy when I see such tips here on Connect. You can check also this article: 3 versteckte Orte in Bulgarien um wunderschöne Landschaftsfotos aufzunehmen.

The option of the grids is the best I think that we can use because we can compose the photo very well.

I am curious which camera do you use? Is it a professional one?

Yes it does @MoniDi . Patrika Gate at Jaipur, Rajasthan is such a lovely and colourful gate. Also it’s so good to see the dancing water fountain in this park during the evening.

@PoliMC For sure yes mam . But the camera that comes with the low end mobile phones are not that accurate and vibrant and they fail to capture the natural colours and so i would prefer to edit them before I post it to my contibutions .

Thanks for your comment and will check your post for sure
