Some places are not added

I have been trying to add an ATM for some time but that ATM is not being added on map.

Hi @Tushant_Kumar ,

You are not alone. We all struggle to add places. Here are some tips. But first it is important to know that some categories or areas can be blocked by the Google team to prevent spam.

Here are some tips :

  1. Add as much info as possible
  2. Adding phone and website is really effective
  3. Add pictures to prove the existence
  4. Select as specific a category as you can
  5. It might help being at the place while adding it
  6. You might want to team up with other local guides in your area

You may think that the AI evaluating your additions is your enemy, but try to think differently. Listen to the feedback you get. Learn from it, and over time you will become better to make additions that get approved right away. Especially if you focus on making similar high quality additions and edits. Then your trust score for these will increase and it gets easier for you to get additions and edits approved.

everyone of us know the frustration of a “not applied” edit but, as already indicated by @MortenCopenhagen , every edit need to be verified, and sometime there are simply not enough information to confirm your edit.

For more detail about the edit approval process, please read: Why is my edit status “Pending” or “Not Applied”?

In addition, from time to time, your edits may not be applied as Google reserve the right to disable user generated contributions for individual business profiles and business categories to prevent abuse.

ATM is one of the categories that in the past was most involved in abuse. I believe that actually only the bank can manage the ATMs, through their Google My Business page

That’s good to know @MortenCopenhagen , as ATM is probably one of the most reported issue about not applied places.

So it seems Google feels that Sofia is safe now

Temple is another sensitive subject @Tushant_Kumar , that in many areas have received a spam attack, so the user generated contents maybe is locked for that category too
