In March, we shared with you some tips for hosting virtual meet-ups, and many of you seem to like the idea of such meet-ups. Local Guides hosted amazing virtual meet-ups all around the world and shared recaps of their experiences on Connect. Let’s take a look at some of the best recaps from March.
“[RECAP] Exciting and Inspiring! 1st Ukraine Virtual Meet-up”
Local Guides from different parts of Ukraineand other countries joined this virtual meet-up to exchange knowledge about the program and discuss the Connect Live 2020 applications. The host @JaneBurunina also shared her experience from Connect Live 2018. To learn more, check her recap.

One of the first Local Guides to organize a virtual meet-up was @AlexandreCampbell . He met with a few other Connect Live 2019 attendees to discuss the application process for this year’s event. They also shared their good memories from the event in 2019 and had fun singing a popular Spanish children’s song. Alexandre included a funny video of them singing in his recap.
“[Recap] Malaysia Local Guides Virtual Food Crawl Gathering”
In his recap, @StephenAbraham told us about how Local Guides enjoyed delicious food in the comfort of their homes while connecting with other Local Guides through a video call. Are you Interested in finding out what they had? Head over to hisrecap.
“[RECAP] Lucca virtual meet-up”
A few Local Guides from Italyalso took part in a virtual meet-up hosted by @LuigiZ . The idea behind the meet-up was to have a drink and chit-chat. From therecap, it sounds like they had a wonderful time. If you are eager to find out more about it, feel free to read Luigi’s post.
“[RECAP] Argentina Virtual Meet-up”
@Cecilita was also one of the first to host a virtual meet-up. The Argentinian community was thrilled about it, as 20 Local Guides participated in the meet-up. They even shared a video of their Hangouts, so if you want to know how it went, head over to the recap.

In this virtual meet-up, 96 attendees introduced themselves and asked many different questions about the Local Guides program and the Connect Live 2020 applications. Check out @AmbrishVarshney ’s recap for more details.

Nature-loving Local Guides took part in @IlankovanT ’s virtual meet-up to talk about nature-related contributions on Google Maps. Participants also shared their experience as Local Guides. To find out more, head to the recap.
“Six Countries Local Guides in a Virtual Meet-up [Virtual Meet-up Returns in Bangladesh]”
More than 50 Local Guides and Connect Moderators joined this virtual meet-up to talk about the Local Guides program, contributions to Google Maps, Connect Live 2020, and more.
