Note: Some of these recaps describe offline meet-ups. Before you decide to join an offline meet-up in your region, please consider the local health regulations and guidelines. The safety of our community is our priority.
All about food
“[RECAP] Local Guides Kitchen - Making spaghetti alle vongole”
The #LocalGuidesKitchen series recently came to an end, but its creator, @AdrianLunsong , still managed to surprise us with a fun recap of his livestream episode with @LuigiZ. Adrian learned to cook spaghetti with clams on-screen and shared tips from his experience with us. If you want to find out how the dish turned out and why Adrian gave it a 5-star review, read his recap.
“( Ringkesan ) Silaturahim Riungan Sukabumi Lokal Panuntun”
Last month, a few Local Guides from Indonesia met for a vegetarian food crawl at the Alam Bistro in Sukabumi, West Java. In her recap, @Nyainurjanah told us all about it: from the different dishes they tried to how they reviewed the place on Google Maps and more. Some of the Local Guides joined virtually, and everyone had a great time despite the rain.
Supporting small businesses
In support of the small businesses in her area, @PriyankaU joined the India Unity Walk initiative with a meet-up in Vapi. She visited two food places and shared reviews and storefront photos on the map. In the recap, she told us the touching stories of the owners and how one of them uses only Google Maps to promote their business. And we got to learn about Priyanka’s favorite dishes from each place, too!
“[RECAP] Helping Small Businesses at Notun Bazar, Mymensingh”
@AbdullahAM also hosted another small business meet-up in Mymensingh, Bangladesh, that lasted more than three hours! The Local Guides added missing places, updated business details, and shared photos. Once again, Abdullah took the time to talk to business owners about the benefits of managing their listings on Maps. Find out about more interesting moments from that day in his recap.

@TravelerProdipta 's latest meet-up was part of the #AccessibleBengal and Accessibility for All initiatives that aim to enrich the map with accessibility information. Knowledge sharing
“[Recap] Knowledge Sharing Virtual Meet-up on 360 Photography and Virtual Tours”
@SalmaanN discovered his passion for photography through the Local Guides program. That’s why he dedicated his first virtual knowledge-sharing session to 360 photos and virtual tours. He was well-prepared for the meet-up and took the time to explain how people can take 360 photos with their phones and cameras, how to edit and publish them to Street View, and more. There’s a lot to learn from Salmaan’s recap.
