Local Guides around the world surface great recommendations for the best places to go and things to do on a regular basis. That’s why we love when you take it a step further and use different contribution types in a helpful way like the following Google Maps lists do.
This series of lists was inspired by Carolina’s personal experience. “As a breast cancer survivor and member of a foundation that promotes early prevention of this disease, I came up with the idea of creating Google Maps lists to guide patients who were recently diagnosed and don’t know where to go,” she said.
This list, created by Creative ContributorSarah, highlights cafes, restaurants and bakeries in Sydney with a profit for purpose vision. Profits made go to support those suffering disadvantages. The list includes places like Taste Food Tours, a not-for-profit social enterprise that promotes racial and social inclusion, giving neighbourhoods the chance to show off unique food cultures. We love that Sarah took the time to create such an informative and interesting list that will help so many.
In the true spirit of helping people, Lily created a list of places to buy hand sanitizer in her area. We love that she thought of creating a list specific to this this in 2020 at a time when people need special supplies like this more than ever.
