Solved- Blocking of third-party cookies was preventing me from adding a review through Desktop Maps.

I wanted to publish a review of a recently visited place through Desktop Maps.
But on click, a screen popped up asking me to sign.
That was OK. But surprise, the message kept on repeating.

Next, I tried uploading a photo.
Then an identical call to provide credentials.
But here a second repeat produced an error “Improper request that’s all we know.“ That was something humorous!

Initially, I thought, the problem was due to the inclusion of accounts of the family members too in the browser.
However, even after the removal of all those, the situation did not change.

Additionally, clearing the browsing history along with cookies also did not alter the plight.

Next, I checked whether some update is imminent. But no. Chrome was up-to-date.

As a final attempt, I decided to explore the settings.
I prefer to block third-party cookies in every browser.
However, at this place, I made the “google.com“ domain as an exception.

And wonder, the problem vanished altogether.
Surprisingly, other browsers did not display that anomaly.
It appears that the blocking of cookies has now some further refinement here.
