Have you ever stopped to think how complicated it is to want to get around the streets, neighborhoods, cities, states and countries in an adequate way and most of the time you can’t do it due to the lack of accessibility?
Now stop to think that this locomotion can become even more complicated when the person does not have a wheelchair, or for some reason their wheelchair is damaged.
Thinking of all these people and especially those who unfortunately are unable to acquire a wheelchair, several Brazilian states have the initiative through NGOs and foundations for dissemination, collection and an intermediary for the acquisition of chairs through the “Solidarity Seal”.
This campaign works as follows:
Do you know that aluminum seal on cans of beer, soft drinks and other drinks, and that we believe is useless for anything but a simple recycling? Well, these seals have a much greater value than simple recycling, they have the value of a wheelchair for those in need.
On average, each 140 2-liter Pet bottles filled with aluminum seals is equivalent to 1 wheelchair for those who really need it.
Speak if it is not a very cool initiative, and it still allows you to remove some of the aluminum from the environment (avoiding unnecessary pollution).
