I am Ekta Chordia aka “Socially active”. I like to explore different food joints and hangout places with my social circle. I like to interact with the owners, managers and the caretakers about their specialties and the taste they follow for the target audience. Being in Gujarat, it is a vegetarian’s paradise. The curious nature has always helped me in exploring new places. It is normal practice to read reviews and gain information before visiting the place. It helps in the navigation and a beginner level person rather than blank for a new location and place.
Initially, when I used to visit any place, then after a day or two, Google Maps would ask to save my visit, review, add the photos, verify facts, etc. My journey with Google Maps started with the first review and it has been an incredible journey there afterward.
In a small duration, the contribution as reviews for food joints and images for places started staggering a lot of views. One day, I received an email regarding the Local Guide 4 perk of socks and after that, there is no looking back to the contribution. Socks were a real self-confidence booster. Currently, I am at Level 6 and the journey is satisfactory.
Now it feels as if I am doing my responsibility of adding the facts, accessibility features, adding images for the welfare of the community. As I require reviews to visit a place, I feel my contributions will also be helpful to others.
