I started as a local guide a few years ago, when i posted my first review . what seems to be a one-time contribution turns into a social hobby.
At that time I started working as Customer Success Manager in a small startup that provides all-in-one platform to SMBs (small\medium business). My job was to help these SMBs achieve their business goals using our product.
I found a strong connection between my daily job and the Local Guide and for me it wasn’t just a hobby anymore.
From posting reviews and rating places, I got feedback and comments so I decided to get more involved. I decided to help and promote these small\medium businesses by sharing my experiences, adding new places, verify facts and exposing others. So for me, its not just a map with pins, its a powerful platform that helps business and customers at the same time.
More than that, Local Guide is a beautiful platform to meet other local guides around the globe, see their recommendations and travel like a local ![]()
