How many likes have you given on Local Guide Connect so far?
Oh, do you really mean that you are giving more than 500 Likes in one hour? @user_not_found
It means more or less one like every 7.2 seconds. Do you really have the time to open a post, read the content and, well, possibly comment in the post, if you like it (yes, it seems you like it, as you are giving kudos), and do this for 500 times in less that one hour?
Seriously?
Well, yes, there is a limit, that have been reached, (or at least publicly reported, for what can personally remember) three times.
Yeah, the reason is exactly to avoid series of likes even without opening a single post (badge chasers) or some bad behavior tat I do not want to mention here for privacy concern
@ErmesT Most of the time i do like comments not just posts, and tell me if there is a way to open the comments other than read them. By the way i’m not a (badge chaser) as you mentioned… i’m just supporting other Local Guides.
and as i see on your profile Total Likes Given [33,514]
Who’s a badge chaser now
!
Hi @user_not_found ,
Thanks for reaching out to the community! : ]
As @ErmesT kindly suggested, please be noted to wait until you may be able to give likes to support the community as you have also shared, as the main purpose of doing so is to encourage and engage with the fellow Local Guides in a lightweight way.
For the moment, the current post would be relocated to the category of How-tos, should it suit better the main subject.
Thanks for your professional respond ![]()
@user_not_found 500 kudus! In an hour. Sounds insane to me. Who can able to give 500 kudus in an hour!!!

Hai @user_not_found .
Concern about the story.
Hope it solved now.
Keep calm, stay healthy and always be happy.
Thanks
and you too brother
@user_not_found Crackk!!
Hahaha my friend @user_not_found
This is pretty serious. I have never received such.
But I have noticed sometimes when I was unable to like some comments that make absolute sense.
Thank you for putting this up.
Best regard.
ur welcome
@Austinelewex
And where does the timer starts? After login and the first kudo time? or the last kudo given time? @user_not_found
Hello @TusharSuradkar ,
To clarify, there is a set time limit on how many likes you can give in a certain amount of time and answering your question it counts from the first like you gave on a comment or post.
Haha. Thanks @AngieYC
I never expected anyone to chime in on that and clarify. But you did - much appreciated ![]()
Haha, @TusharSuradkar , why we should not clarify.
As i love the visual explanation, and you are a mechanical engineer, I will try to explain how it works: you can imagine to have a belt conveyor, that in one minutes moves from the feeding point to the discharge point, and you have two counter (likes feeded - likes discharged). If the count is bigger than 10, then you generate a warning.
In software we do exactly the same. We call it FIFO (First In First Out), and we set the length (time) and the count (likes) that can be received
The result is the flow (that’s why it is defined a flow warning) in Likes/minute
Thanks for the wonderful explaination @ErmesT
I am both a Mechanical Engineer and a computer programmer.
The conveyor analogy was nice ![]()
I give a lot of importance to a moderator’s response, especially to my queries or comments, and I am delighted that both you and AngieYC’s chimed in.
BR,
Tushar
