Tonight I visited a pool/snooker hall based in Watford called Shots. It was the first time I had been to a pool/snooker hall and it was a good experience. I am not a good player, but it is for fun and to socialise with friends again.
Now lockdown is over, it is good to experience new places. And it is also fantastic to see people out.
Great to hear that you are finally out of lockdown and can visit places including snooker/pool halls. I agree with you that snooker/pool is a fun experience and a great way to socialize with friends. Like you I’m not a good player but do enjoy it and only recently I visited the RACV City Club Billiards Room here in Melbourne with friends and it was great fun. I wrote about it in Connect’s recent 5-weeks Challenges and called the article A place for the Skillful, the Hustlers and the Wannabes!. Prior to that the last time I had a shot was in 2015 at a pool place in Basingstoke and that was also really fun. Unfortunately it’s not as big a sport here now as it once used to be so was wondering what’s its status now in the UK? Is it still popular? Are there many snooker/pool halls?
